#12DaysOfBlogging – DAY FIVE: #ChristmasJumperDay

Today is my third favourite day of the year; behind only 1) my birthday and 2) Christmas Day.

IT’S CHRISTMAS JUMPER DAY!

It wasn’t that long ago that the Christmas jumper was the gift Aunt Patricia got you, you gritted your teeth, got through the day wearing it and then thanked the man above that you wouldn’t see it for another 365 days.

But now, to steal a phrase from a well known BBC TV show, it’s “The Showstopper.”

If you don’t own a Christmas Jumper, I’m sorry, but there’s something wrong with you.

You can get simplistic Yuletide patterns, to the extravagant and over-outlandish musical jumpers. There’s stylish and there’s tacky but there’s a Christmas Jumper to cater for EVERYONE!

I’m not afraid to say I have a wardrobe full of them, some slightly ‘louder’ than others but this year I have a new favourite.

Many people argue that Christmas doesn’t actually arrive until the Coca-Cola advert has been aired on TV, but now, I say Christmas doesn’t arrive until the Coca-Cola Christmas Jumper comes out!

Last year I joined the Frozen phenomenon and paraded my Olaf Christmas Jumper around work for Christmas week, and this year I’ve gone from snowman to polar bear!

And what makes Christmas Jumper Day even better? It helps raise money for some excellent charities. ITV’s Text Santa is a great example!

So go dig your Christmas Jumper out and spread some festive cheer!
