So earlier this week a new ‘viral’ image hit the world wide web. His name? Ridiculously Photogenic Guy; an innocent photo taken by a member of the public just taking a quick snap as a herd of people completed the Cooper River Bridge Run in South Carolina.
“Messy hair, beads of sweat and expressions of agony are common for runners, but apparently not for Zeddie Little.
Little, from New York City, became an Internet sensation and was nicknamed “Ridiculously Photogenic Guy” after a spectator snapped a picture of him at the Cooper River Bridge Run in South Carolina. Little looked as if he had stepped straight out of a magazine.” (ABC News)
Next week is when I attempt to run my marathon from Warwick Racecourse to Coventry city centre and back.
Coincidence? I think not.
I already know how much of an idiot I look when running, yes I know; someone as good looking as me not being able to pull of the Ridiculously Photogenic Guy, what is the world coming too!? But does the world really need to embarrass me further? Really? REALLY?
But back to reality, and trying to hide my jealousy of New York’s Mr. Little, my solitary aim is just to finish the 26.2 miles, let alone within a self set time limit. That, and raising as much money as possible for Dementia UK. My target is to raise at least £150 and I’m fully on course to do so after some great news from my manager at work who has informed me they are close to raising £120 for me!! Which truly is amazing!
Of course there is still a whole week to go to raise even more money, and if you have a spare few pennies, dollars, Yen, or whatever currency you deal with in this day and age, please visit my Just Giving page, or text UPLB89 £1 to 70070 (of course you could change the ‘£1″ to “£10” or even “£100” if you really wanted too!!)
And finally, in reference to today’s image, please note, I will not be attempting 26.2 miles topless. I wouldn’t want to put Hugh Jackman to shame now would I?
